Allegations and complaints
To file a complaint or allegation about the conduct of First Nations, Inuit or Métis government bodies and organizations in the Northwest Territories, email: nwtcorporatesec@rcaanc-cirnac.gc.ca.
Allegations and complaints should be about:
- the funding provided by CIRNAC or ISC, and the way those funds are administered
- issues with program or service delivery, such as:
- housing
- education
- social assistance
- governance issues, such as:
- abuse of power
- election processes
- nepotism
- delays in the status application process
- wills and estates
- legal and policy issues
- health-related, such as the quality of non-insured health benefits

Policy and Partnerships
This unit provides regional policy development and research to support:
- child and family service reform in the territory
- intergovernmental relations
It also provides funding administration, primarily in support of the negotiation and implementation of modern treaties and self-government tables in the Northwest Territories.

Resource and land management
This unit manages the department’s responsibilities related to Crown lands in the Northwest Territories as well as those related to appointments to resource boards in the territories. This unit is also responsible for administration of the Territorial Development Fund.
