Message from Minister Miller
Kwe, Tansi, Ullukkut, Sago, Bonjour and Greetings!
Today, we celebrate diverse cultures, languages and heritage of First Nations, Inuit and Métis. This is a day to acknowledge the important contributions Indigenous peoples have made and continue to make in the development of this country.
While celebrations and events for National Indigenous Peoples Day may be different this year, in part due to COVID-19, we can share and learn from stories, traditions and cultures in new ways that still keep us together and connect.
This event is a great example of exactly that. I wish you all the best as you celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day.
The Honourable Marc Miller
Minister of Indigenous Services
