Update on COVID-19 – March 25, 2020
As a result of COVID-19, Indigenous Services Canada and Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada, along with other Departments and Agencies activated their business continuity plans last week to help flatten the curve.
Over the weekend, the Government of Canada announced that these measures will remain in force until April 10, 2020 and will be reassessed as the situation continues to evolve.
As a result of the extension, we have added network access times for employees not working on critical files. The access times are as follows:
- Monday to Friday between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m. EDT; and
- Friday from 8 p.m. until Monday 8 a.m. EDT.
In addition, to support social distancing provisions in place and the health and safety of employees, access to most federal buildings is limited. Employees who must access their building will need to have their access cards and follow their building security measures.
For the latest updates, please continue to access:
- Information for all Government of Canada employees, including frequently updated FAQs and the latest messages from the Chief Human Resources Officer;
- Information on the Internet for ISC employees and CIRNAC employees.
Thank you to all employees for your on-going dedication, flexibility and cooperation over the last few weeks.
