| PROJECT RECOMMENDATION 1. Review the five National Child Benefit Reinvestment areas to assess to what extent they are in line with provincial/territorial practices and priorities identified in the literature, and determine what mix of activity areas would be most effective for achieving desired results on-reserve. |

| The Headquarters NCBR team will continue to consult and work in collaboration with the Regions to review and update the First Nations NCBR National Manual so that it better defines projects and activities that work towards program objectives. | 01/04/2009 | As of 31-03-2008: Initial discussions have taken place. | The Headquarters NCBR Team will set up a consultation process with HRSDC, CRA and SC to determine what impact results the NCB supplement has for First Nations on-reserve. Specifically for INAC, identify what data already exists and where there are gaps in data. | 31/03/2009 | As of 31-03-2008: Initial discussions held with HRSDC counterparts. INAC will continue consultation process with other Government Departments and will develop options to move forward by March 31, 2009. |
